As I was going through the new system myself, I stumbled on a feature that was really exciting to me. I am a bit of a LinkedIn junkie, and I accidentally discovered that with just a few clicks, you can add your cPanel University certification to your LinkedIn profile. Granted, you could always do this the manual way, but this is so much easier.
For Job Hunters and Gatherers Alike
If you’re a cPanel expert on the hunt for a job that requires cPanel & WHM expertise, showing off your certification is an easy way to let potential employers know you’ve got the right skills. Even if it’s listed on your resume, it’s sometimes easy for hiring managers to overlook.
A 2014 Jobvite survey found that 94 percent of recruiters use LinkedIn to source and vet candidates, while only 36 percent of job seekers are active on the site. Be great at being one of the 36 percent.
On the other end of the spectrum, if you’re hiring for a position that requires cPanel & WHM knowledge, there’s a good chance you’re researching potential candidates via their LinkedIn profiles. Having this on their profile makes it easier for you to verify this knowledge prior to an in-person skills assessment. Each certification has a unique license number and expiration date. There’s no faking it here.
- The first step, of course, is to pass one of the certification exams. Done.
- Next, visit My Certifications in the drop down under your name in the top navigation. On the far right, you’ll see a tiny LinkedIn icon. Click that and you’re just two more steps away.
- Click Add to profile and authenticate your LinkedIn credentials.
- Save (pretty straightforward, right?).
This has now been automatically added to your LinkedIn profile, and if you have your settings configured to share updates with your network, they’ll know too.
We’re super excited to keep creating courses and seeing these certifications pop up in our LinkedIn feeds. Log into cPanel University and get certified.
