cPanel Conference ’13 in NOLA; Just Peakin’

Did you look at the Mississippi River last week and shout for Huck Finn to show face? Me either…cough. We are so excited to be having cPanel Conference 2013 in NOLA. On Thursday we had a chance to do a little bit of scouting and had a quick meeting with some great guys from PingZine. I …

Tell them about the Twinkie

We have started on this ‘path’ of redesigning cPanel’s current primary theme called x3. We have even gone so far as to begin calling this new project x4. When Egon is explaining to Winston that the coming psychokinetic activity would be a Twinkie…”thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six hundred pounds”, Winston simply replies, “Thats a big Twinkie.” The redesign of cPanel into x4 is, well, a big Twinkie. The home page …

Wedding, Interview, or a Good Cause; You Decide.

This week I had the honor to represent cPanel, Inc. on Capitol Hill with the likes of some of the most influential organizations in our industry. Beyond throwing our first pebble into the mysterious political pond, I had a once in a life time opportunity to see longtime friends and industry icons in suits. …

You’re my boy, Blue!

One of the first things you will notice in the new cPanel interface is a concentrated effort to make the work flow as clear and discernible as possible. Keeping that in mind, each page of cPanel/WHM has one ‘primary’ action that is easily recognizable. For example, the change password page has one action, but it might be overlooked. While the user is asked to enter the old password, and then the new password twice, the …

Capitol Hill & the i2C

On February 27th, I will be joining fellow Internet Infrastructure Coalition (i2C) board members for a day to meet with various Congress and media outlets on Capitol Hill about our efforts to preserve our Internet freedoms. This gives cPanel the chance to join in the effort to protect the legislation that will one day affect you, hosting companies, and even cPanel. …

http://features.cpanel.net We appreciate your interest in providing us with your valuable suggestions and feedback! The new cPanel Feature Request site was launched in October of 2012, and it is our intention with this new system to make the Feature Request submission and voting process more efficient for both the Community, and the cPanel Development teams. cP Sum! Nov. 2nd, 2012

We’ve reached the end of another busy week here at cPanel, and I think you’ll agree this final week of October was consumed with the mourning souls of Star Wars fans. Monday was a huge release for cPanel – you know this. If you don’t know this, I suspect you’ve had your earphones on all week secretly listening to Taylor Swift’s new album (I like the first song…don’t judge me). So much work, from …

cP-Sum!

We’ve had a lot of changes this week at cPanel. Even the weather changed, though I’m sure it’ll be back to ‘hot shower’ humidity in a couple of days. In major news? 11.34 is going into RELEASE tier on Monday. This has a ton of changes and improvements. Don’t worry, they’re not scary changes, they’re pretty much going to be really beneficial. Email archiving, a better user interface, all good things! We started planning already …

cPanel Conference, Day 2

We’re nearing the end of an amazing, and slightly crazy, conference. This final day is filled with more sessions and a pub crawl on Washington St. I left Roak last night by literally sneaking out at 11 (I’m old, and my room gave me a cold- 62 degrees wasn’t a great idea), and apparently missed all of the shenanigans. Despite not taking advantage of the open bar, I had a blast dancing inside to the …
